Mine was leaking gas from the cap, too, just a bit; I'd see a line, maybe four or five inches long, on the tank. I've been trying to remember not to top off the tank, and that seems to have helped. But there is almost always the smell of gasoline around the bike, coming from the cap. Maybe the venting doesn't work well; some other posts here have alluded to that. I also found that the tank's paint bubbled off a little at the lip of the filler hole, by the way, and I think that was related to the "leaking."
